Yeahs. I just got Pokemon Platinum the other day.

Playing it now. While I should be doing homework. Shh..

Gotta say, while it's been pretty good so far, I'm hoping that I come across an original pokemon soon, because with half of these new.. things, I'm just looking at them and going, "What the f*** is that ugly looking thing...? O_o " Like with the last evolution of that new pidgey-bird thinger that I looked up on the internet. The one that looks like it can't make up it's mind over what exactly on it's head is its beak. Staraptor. What the bloody hell is that meant to be? For that matter, what kind of name is that? Sounds like a cross between 'star' and 'raptor'...

And seriously, does that hairdo thing it's got going on look like it's going to open up and devour something, or is it just me? :/

I was thinking the same thing.
I jumped from playing Crystal to Diamond, man was I dissapointed at some of the pokemon.

Not very far. Not even up to the first gym yet. But- weekend tomorrow, so I will make this change. :>

Helen wants to as well. It'll be like old times in primary school. :3

Aw.. that kinda sucks. I played Sapphire, and the pokemon in it weren't as bad as the ones in Diamond, etc. But I think Gold, Silver, Crystal had the best pokemon.

The annoying thing about Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, is they could've made the pokemon a lot better if they had been more original. Instead they just did things like talking pidgey and giving it a mowhawk/extra beak. :< .... I still like the game though.

I love the original pokemon, the first 151 were fine with me.
But thats true. They rip off old pokemon and make them really...bad.

Yeah, they were great.

The awesome thing about Gold, Silver, etc. for me though, was that you didn't look at the pokemon in it and think "Oh.. that's like *insert earlier pokemon here*, only with *insert minor differences here*.", you know? After that, with a lot of the games, you kind of... did. Well, I did anyway.

I wonder how the new versions of Gold and Silver will turn out...
